The Eco-House
Ministers have laid the foundations this week for the Eco-House; homes of the future will be kind to the environment. The Eco-House is getting closer to being realised, the road to the energy-saving home which will be both sustainable and comfortable is certainly clearer than it was.

Ikea's "Flat Pack" Homes Bound for Britain
Swedish retail giant Ikea have developed a range of energy efficient, affordable "flat pack" homes, which they are now bringing to the UK.
Planning permission has been granted for a site in St James Village, Gateshead to hold 36 BloKlok (Sweedish for "smart living") apartments.
The homes will have two/three bedrooms and will come in prefabricated timber frames and are expected to cost less than £100,00.
